Seasons

Life unfolds in seasons, each with its own purpose and timing. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, "to everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." Some seasons bring joy and abundance, while others require letting go, grieving, and moving forward. The key to living with strength and confidence is recognizing when a season has ended and embracing the next one.
My husband loves to joke with me about how often I say, "seasons, honey, it's just a season."Anytime we go through a change, whether it's adjusting to new challenges, navigating transitions, or just feeling the effects of getting older, I remind him that life moves in seasons. And because I say it so much, now he's the one playfully saying it back to me! But the truth is, this simple phrase helps me stay grounded in faith. No matter what we face, we can trust that seasons shift, and God is always at work. He is still on the throne.
Jesus modeled this wisdom. When His time on earth was coming to an end, He prepared His disciples, saying, "it is to your advantage that I go away" (John 16:7). He understood that the end of His earthly ministry was necessary for the Holy Spirit to come. Likewise, there are times when we must let go of the past, whether it be relationships, jobs, or familiar comforts to step into God's new plan for us.

Holding on too long to a past season can hinder growth. God spoke through the prophet Isaiah, saying, "forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" (Isaiah 43:18-19). This does not mean we ignore our feelings or rush through pain. It's okay to grieve. Mourning is natural - Jesus Himself wept (John 11:35). But grief is not meant to be a permanent place. We cannot live there. Psalm 30:5 assures us, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
When we accept necessary endings, we step into new seasons with power and confidence. Trusting God's timing allows us to move forward with faith, knowing that He is always working for our good (Romans 8:28). Letting go is not losing; it is making room for the new.
Reflections Questions:
What season is God calling you to embrace today?
Is there something you are holding onto that God is asking you to release?
Yes. So true. Letting go opens your hands to receive what the Lord wants to give. It's good because He's good. ❤️
So good as I shared some things with you...its a hard Season that I keep saying He is on the Throne to release the faith to Trust Him.
